At Schroon Lake Community Church, we take Jesus' words seriously:  

 

"Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."  (Matthew 19:14)    

 

Children and youth of all ages are welcome as a vital part of our community!  

 

• Young children are invited to play and learn in the entryway of our church every Sunday.  We provide craft materials, coloring pages, crayons, stuffies & toys that support the youngest among us.    

• Church School is offered 3-4 times each month for children ages 4-18.   

• Youth Group is offered 1ce a month for children in 6th-12th grade.   

 

 Church School Schedule 

   

• 1st Sundays of the Month:  Children attend worship, including Communion. 

• 2nd Sundays of the Month:  All ages church school (ages 5-18) in the youth room  

• 3rd & 4th Sundays of the Month:     

• Elementary age church school (ages 4-8) in primary school room 

• Youth church school (ages 9-18) in the youth room 

• 5th Sundays of the Month:   All ages church school in the youth room  

 

Our Church School Curriculum 2024-2025 is "A Joyful Path" :

 

 A Joyful Path is a curriculum that connects children with their own inner wisdom and focuses on how our behavior affects our happiness. It teaches interdependence, self-awareness, respect for nature, stillness, forgiveness, prayer, meditation, integrity, radical inclusion, and experiencing God. Using the Bible, sacred texts, and wisdom stories from around the world, A Joyful Path helps children learn how to follow the path of Jesus in today’s world.
